This stranded colorwork hat is designed to coordinate with the Tiled In Cowl. It begins with a provisional cast on to create a hemmed brim and features a band of stranded colorwork.

To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:

• do and undo a provisional cast on and
• read and work from a colorwork chart.

The women’s hat uses approximately 160 yards/138 meters of the main color and 40 yards/36.5 meters of the contrast color. The men’s hat uses approximately 185 yards/169 meters of the main color and 45 yards/41 meters of the contrast color.

Finished measurements:
Women’s hat: approximately 19 in./48.5 cm circumference and 7.25 in./18.5 cm from brim to top of crown
Men’s hat: approximately 21 in./53.5 cm circumference and 7.75 in./19.5 cm from brim to top of crown
