US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.

US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge
10 sts in pattern for Hat Band = 2.5” (6.5 cm) across with smaller hook.

16 hdc3L = 4” (10 cm) across with larger hook.
