The Timber Run Vest was inspired by the tracks in the snow that skiers leave behind. Slalom stitch panels (aptly named!) adorn the asymmetrical front and the back of this cozy vest. This one knits up fast on size 13s with super bulky yarn: Brown Sheep’s burly spun in Wild Oak.

The vest is worked flat from the bottom up to the armholes. The work is then split and the fronts and backs are finished separately. There is very little finishing involved (yeah!). Once the shoulders are seamed using a 3-needle bind off, the collar stitches are picked up and worked flat. Then stitches are picked up for the armhole ribbing and worked in the round. Simple and fun.
