Time and Tide is an U-shaped stole that represents the pattern of waves breaking on shore and retreating. Tassels and fringes can be added to your preference. Although samples were worked with bulky weight yarn for sample 1 and fingering weight yarn and mohair held double for sample 2, it is possible to use any yarn weight. When choosing yarn, it is recommended to use brushed yarn like mohair or alpaca blend. Sample 2 is worked with three colors to make a gradient effect (fade).

Gauge

Sample 1: 12 sts and 16 rows / 10 cm (4”) in Stockinette stitch
Sample 2: 14 sts and 20 rows / 10 cm (4”) in Stockinette stitch
Both using 6.5 mm (US 10 ½) needles and after blocking.

Yarn

Bulky weight yarn approximately 994 m / 1092 yds or
fingering and lace weight yarn held double 945 m / 1034 yds

Option: Tassels (Sample 1 used 20 g) or fringes (Sample 2 used fingering weight yarn, two colors in total 20 g + mohair 11 g) Change amount of yarn to your preference.

Time and Tideストールは, 波が海岸へと寄せては返していく模様をイメージしたU字型のストールです.
お好みで裾にタッセルまたはフリンジを付けていただけます.
今回は極太の糸, 中細糸とモヘアを2本取りにして編みましたが, 他にも色々な太さの糸で編んで頂けます.
その際は出来るだけモヘアやアルパカなど, 毛足の長い糸の使用をお勧めします.
サンプル2は3色をグラデーション(fade color)になるように編んでいます.
