Tinter is an easy and fun cowl to knit . The piece is knit circularly as a tube with triple strands of yarn. I tinted the blue to grey in steps by changing one strand color sequentially. The ends are grafted together for a seamless looking finish. There’s a little prep work dividing the skeins into thirds to set up the shading process.

Finished Measurements: (one size) (when flat) 7.5” wide x 44” circumference
Materials: Berroco Ultra Wool Fine (100% superwash wool, 400 yds)
1 skein ea: Denim 53154, Maritime 5365 and Granite 53170
Needles & Notions: two - 16” circular US #10.5, stitch marker, yarn needle, waste yarn
Gauge: 4 sts/in and 5.3 rows/in on #10.5 in stockinette stitch in the round with three strands of yarn held together.

A “tint” is color that is softened or desaturated by the addition of white/grey. Once you’ve finished your first Tinter cowl, let your imagination create your own variety of color and textures. Maybe even sizes?
