Tiny Eggs is an original crochet pattern by June Gilbank.

Make miniature crocheted eggs that are still egg-shaped despite their diminutive size! Decorate for Easter with a bowl of calorie-free ‘chocolate’ eggs (just don’t eat them!) or make them as realistic-sized songbird eggs.

Yarn: small amount of worsted weight yarn

Hook: E US/3.5mm crochet hook

Size: approx 1” (2.5cm) tall. (Your gauge and yarn choice will affect the finished size slightly.)

Please note: The nest pictured in the 2nd and 3rd photos here is not part of this free pattern. Tiny Eggs in a Nest, including both the eggs and the nest, is a Donationware pattern - the Tiny Eggs pattern as shown in the main photo here is available for free, but if you like it please consider sending me a donation to show your appreciation, and to receive the exclusive bonus nest pattern as part of the pattern PDF:

The PDF version, Tiny Eggs in a Nest (available for any size donation from the link on the pattern’s webpage), also includes the exclusive tiny textured bird’s nest (3”/7.5cm diameter) which I designed especially for these eggs, and you can see holding my robin’s eggs in the photos here. The nest is smooth on the inside and textured on the outside, just like a real nest! Make a nestful of tiny eggs to celebrate spring, or as the perfect accompaniment to an amigurumi bird.
