Tiny Hats Project (Knitting in the Loop)

Associated with Texas Children╩╝s NICU (Lemons and Limes Project)

We are knitting tiny hats for the tiny preemies at Texas Children╩╝s Hospital, Houston, Texas. Most of the recipients are 17-20 weeks old. Our hats should be 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The smaller ones will fit a lime and the larger ones, a lemon.

If you fold your hat in half, and it measures 3 1/4 inches, then your hat will be 6 1/2 inches in circumference. I use size 6 double pointed needles to get this gauge. Marilyn uses size 5. So please check your first hat to check your own individual tension.
