These are tiny palm-sized crochet pumpkins that can be used as fall and Halloween decorations, or you can make a pile and hand them out to trick or treaters, or they are great as pet toys, mainly for cats! I made them to be small enough for my kitten to play with! You could probably easily use them to hang on rear view mirrors in cars or trucks, or they would make great desk decorations because of their size!

You basically make a sphere that’s wider than tall, and then sew up and down to squash it and make it dip in the center, and then you loop the yarn around the outside of the pumpkin five times and pull each time just tight enough to make an intention to shape the pumpkin. Then you sew on the stem and the leaf.

You will need some kind of stuffing to fill them.

It doesn’t take much yarn because they are small. I didn’t notice much of any gone from my skein. I used Red Heart Carrot color, and Sage green, and just grabbed whatever looked kind of tan/brown for the stem, but I had lost the label for that color. Carrot is my favorite Red Heart Yarn color ever! I think they stopped making it now, but I’ve bought more on Etsy, Ebay, and private sellers on Amazon, so check there if you’re ever looking for discontinued yarn!
