Tip Up Town is an annual winter festival here in Michigan. Held during January at Houghton Lake, Michigan’s largest inland lake, it is a festival with lots of fun and a little tomfoolery! Two men who wanted to put their town on the map created this winter carnival in 1951. It takes place over two weekends in January and can draw up to 80,000 people, all looking for a good time in winter!

I designed these socks with lots of fun and a little tomfoolery! The Latvian Twist gets you started, the easy to remember Check pattern keeps you going and the Star Toe finishes them off with lovely detail.

They are knit from cuff to toe with fingering weight yarn. The Latvian Twist and Star Toe give them a little extra kick!
