Here’s a quick cold-weather project with sizes for the whole family! Toasty is engineered to keep out the cold by covering the neck and ears, with a double-layer band around the face. Make it with long ties or a buttoned chin strap--either way, you’re covered! The bottom band is knit first, then stitches are picked up for the body and front band, which is folded back at the end to form two layers around the face.

Toasty is suitable for a confident beginner. Techniques include simple K and P stitches, M1 increases, and a 3-needle bindoff at the top (link to instructional video is provided). It’s a stash-busting project, only using 120-150 yards of DK or sport-weight yarn.
