This comfy hat is an easy and fast knit. Work it in one color or 2. Ear flaps are knit first, then worked into the cast-on round. The 4-round waffle repeat is easy to memorize for knitters of any skill level.

Size: Newborn(6 months, 12 months, Toddler, Child)
Finished Circumference: 10(12, 14, 16, 18) inches
Fits up to: 13(15, 17, 19, 21) inches
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches in stockinette
Yarn: O-Wool Classic Worsted 100% certified organic merino wool; 99 yards/90 meters per 1.8 ounce/50 gram skein
- For 2-color version shown in Child: 1 skein each “Willow”
and “Peacock” or 23(30, 40, 40, 65) yards A and 22(30, 35,
45, 55) yards B
- For solid version shown in Toddler: 1 skein “Chocolate” or
45(60, 75, 95, 120) yards
Tools: Size 7(4.5mm) 16” circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, crochet hook, stitch marker
