Todd Hat is a basic ribbed beanie, but it’s knit in yellow. It’s made from hand-dyed yarn, which gives it a fetching watercolor-wash look. This is essentially my longstanding hiking hat pattern, but again: yellow. Pattern totally won’t work if you knit it in any other color. (See Note.)

You’ll need:
Approximately 150 yards of Malabrigo Rios in Frank Ochre
One 16”+ circular knitting needle in US7/4.5mm, or size needed for gauge
One set of 5 DPNs in the same needle size
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
4 stitch markers

Gauge is 20 sts and 30 rows in blocked, relaxed pattern. It makes a hat to fit average adults (21-23”/53-58cm head circumference) with some negative ease. The ribbing is very stretchy, but please be sure to check your gauge to insure your hat fits, and use the needles you need instead of the size listed, if necessary.
