This top down, yoke style sweater is a snap to make and a great first sweater project. The small size and basic shaping means it knits up in a hurry, and once you’ve mastered the technique on a small scale, you can try our adult sweater version, Sweater in a Month Challenge

The collar is worked flat in garter stitch with increases to create a simple v-neck with a fold over collar detail that adds a touch of something new to the basic kid sweater design!
