The perfect pattern for those who suffer second sock syndrome!

Knit from one toe to the other then separated, these socks are suitable for relatively new sock knitters and more experienced knitters alike. Afterthought heels make the seamless construction smooth and speedy.

They are customisable to your own (or someone else’s) foot size and are a good way of showcasing brightly coloured yarns.

You will need
• 100g/3.5oz sock yarn, roughly 400m/437yd
• 10-20m waste yarn for the middle and afterthought heel holding stitches, in a contrasting colour
• A couple of yards of a second contrasting colour to use as a lifeline
• Either dpns, one long circular needle for magic loop, or two circulars for knitting in the round.
• A stitch marker to mark the beginning of your round
• A pair of sharp scissors
• Darning needle
