Quick and dirty tutorial on how you can make toe-up socks, with a heel flap, on double pointed needles. Great for self-striped, plain socks and/or knee highs.

Gusset Increases

Needle 1 | K1, KFB, K to last 2 stitches, KFB, K1
Needles 2, 3, 4 | Knit all stitches

It SHOULD say:
Gusset Increases
If you are using a set of 5 dpns,
o Row 1
Needle 1 | K1, KFB, K to end. l
Needle 2 | K to last 2 sts, KFB, K1.
Needles 3 & 4 | Knit all stitches
o Row 2
K all sts.
