A fairly easy, adjustable mitten pattern, utilizing the toe-up cast on.

So I wrote this pattern while making mittens to fit my hands, which are probably a little bigger than the average woman’s (mine are 7.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide for reference.) However the pattern should provide ample opportunity for knitters to adjust and customize.

If you’d like to make mittens that are considerably smaller or larger consider decreasing or increasing the number of increase rows in the beginning of the pattern (that are done after casting on) or even dec/inc the number of stitches initially cast on. This may change the more rounded shape provided by the toe-up cast on but likely not dramatically.
