Toffee is a sweet lightweight shawl available in 3 sizes, a fun and relaxing knit featuring stripes, lace, some cables and bobbles.

This top-down shawl was originally designed for handspun yarn but has been tested with a number of commercial yarns as well. Heavy lace weight to fingering weight yarns work best for this pattern. The pattern contains both charted and written-out instructions.

Materials

Fiber
Ashford Merino Sliver
#037 Toffee (MC); 70 (90, 110) g,
#008 Grape Jelly (CC); 35 (50, 65) g.

Finished Yarn
• Single ply
• MC: approx. 300 m (330 yd) / 50 g
• CC: approx. 175 m (190 yd) / 50 g
• Note: the CC does not necessarily have to be of heavier weight than the MC.

Commercial yarn alternatives
• Malabrigo Lace
• madelinetosh prairie
• Wollmeise Lace-Garn
Note: a number of other yarns have been tested and worked really well but I listed only those that are closest in weight and characteristics to the yarn of the sample.
