This jolly addition to your bathroom looks friendly rather than fierce - a real paper tiger.

Toilet Roll Covers is a book of 30 knit and crochet covers. Our original vision for the book was that all the covers would have silly titles including the words ‘roll’, ‘paper’, ‘tissue’, etc. Somehow most of the titles disappeared on the way.

It has just been pointed out that there are errors in the pattern.

The stitch counts for the face are correct but in the wrong place.

(15 stitches) should appear between ‘Rep last row 5 times’ and ‘Change to C’.

(19 stitches) should appear between ‘Rep last row 3 times’ and ‘Change to M’.

(23 stitches) should appear after ‘Rep last row 3 times’.

The ears are also missing:

Using M cast on 9 stitches.
Row 1: work to last two stitches, k2tog
Repeat this row until 4 stitches remain. Cast off.

Using C, pick up one stitch from the end of each ridge and each cast-off stitch, casting off again as you go. (This will give a very barrow black edge to the ear.) Alternatively, crochet this black edging.
