This little jacket is knitted with two shades of thin 4 ply yarn, one plain and one variegated. The body and sleeves are worked in four row stripes of these two yarns using a slip stitch pattern.

The construction of the jacket is simple and there is very little shaping. The back and fronts are worked in one straight piece and then the sleeves are picked up and knitted downwards from the shoulders. The shawl collar and front bands are knitted on in one piece and are plain garter stitch.

Instructions are given for two sizes, giving jackets measuring 18 or 20” round the chest.
