When my son was little, he wore a tool belt and carried “Cool Tools” everywhere with him (when he wasn’t dressed up as a cowboy, of course.) I made him lots of hats, but never a tool hat, though I did make a tool sweater. My nephew’s kids want hats and their mom told me I couldn’t go wrong with “tools, animals, dinosaurs or sports.” So here are the tools, finally.

TOOL TIME is not a Hard Hat, but a Fun Hat for Handymen (Women and Kids) of all sizes. Wrenches, hammers, saws and L-squares make up the border of this cap in 3 sizes: Infant, Child & Adult. Above the tool border is a flat rib to add textural interest to the top of the cap. It was inspired by my “Julie’s Hearts & Kyle’s Tool Time Sweater” Pattern. Though intended for kids, three of my four testers chose the adult size! Graphs are slightly different for each size. Child size is shown in photo.
