Topher Turtle

This turtle puppet was originally made as a toy for my grandson, Christopher. At the request a friend, I have written out my pattern. There is a lot of detail work in Topher, so the pattern is a bit lengthy. I had to delete most of the photographs in the pattern to obtain a successful pdf conversion from my MS word document. The photos can be viewed on my blog at http://sheepandshepherd.blogspot.com/2008/04/blog-post.html
Topher is knit with cotton yarn. My LYS owner suggested making him into a bath time washcloth by using a sponge to stuff the top shell instead of poly fiber fill. The sponge would need to be trimmed to fit inside the shell. I haven’t tried that yet, but wanted to offer the idea as I thought it a good one.
