A slouchy cap with a different topper

Blocks of Color make for a great “Stash Buster” & This is a Blockbuster of a Stashbuster hat.

NOTE: THIS HAT MEASURES ABOUT 10 ins in adult sizes without the topKnot. With topKnot is is about 12 inches. Color band length can be adjusted by adding extra rounds of each color.

Knit in the round with a turned under hem, it uses up those small, leftover balls of yarn. Any colors work, so make brave choices. Make it bold with a TopKnot or play it safe with a plain top. Use wild colors or play it safe with 5 different shades of the same color.

Unisex in 3 sizes, Child, Small Adult & Large Adult. The hat can be made longer by adding more rounds of each color. Choose size according to final head circumference. The colors chosen make it a “guys” hat or a “girls” cap.

This free pattern is a great way to learn a new topper technique. A topknot is not as hard as it might look. Enjoy!
