Topless Mittens
These fingerless mittens make a quick and low-cost gift. I’m always surprised at how warm they keep me, while still letting me write, type, or knit. Choose a sturdy yarn so you can wear them constantly without worrying about ruining your hard work.
GAUGE
4” = 17.5 stitches and 31 rounds in Stocking Stitch on larger needles
Note: yarns shown usually knit at 15-17 stitches to 4″ in Stocking Stitch
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Circumference: 6”(6.5”, 7.25”)
Length: 6.75” or 8.25”
MATERIALS
90(100, 105) yards aran weight yarn
US 3 (3.25mm) and 5 (3.75mm) sets of 4 double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge and 2 sizes smaller
stitch markers
scrap yarn to use as stitch holders
