“Torn Apart” Shawl
This shawl has been created with the battle of swords in mind, I wanted the piece to look old, and tired whilst still offering warmth and comfort.
I used the silver grey in the yarn to represent swords and the red obviously to mark the bloodshed that’s lost with any battle.
The name of Torn Apart represents the loss that comes from any battle, the separation it brings to loved ones and of course the devastation many are left with that suffer the trauma of having fought.
The thought of it being created in many other colours is exciting as I imagine teamed with casual clothing and made in bright colours it will look stunning.
The yarn was dyed especially for me for this piece and details are given below if you also wish to use this yarn.
This is an easy to intermediate knitted piece created in fingering weight yarn.
It’s been inspired by my love of Outlander and the Scottish Highlands.
