Just a short walk away from our home is the Torrens, the iconic river of Adelaide. We love to wander along it, watching birds splash in the water, and the beautiful trees come into bloom. These mitts were inspired by such images. Leaf or ripple-like twisted stitch motifs transform into dotty pebble patterning, which looks gorgeous in a tweed yarn like Arranmore Light! The pattern is written to result in a wrist length pair of mitts in each size, but suggestions are also provided on how to extend the cuff, hand and thumb length if desired.

The Torrens Mitts have a matching hat pattern! As a RAVELRY ONLY special, you can enjoy a price of just $8 USD for both patterns if purchased as a set. (Discount applied automatically, no coupon code needed. Additional charges may be added to your cart depending on your location, and please note that Ravelry’s checkout can only process 1 discount per transaction.) Find the Torrens Hat pattern here. Happy knitting!
