This cowl is worked in the round using a beautifully soft double knitting yarn. It features a geometric design inspired by a traditional Japanese pattern called Kikkou, which is based on the hexagonal shapes of a tortoiseshell.

The cowl is sized to fit most teens/adults, although the size can be easily adjusted. The pattern includes instructions for knitting the cowl in 4ply weight yarn, as well as modifying the height and width.

Yarns used in the samples -

Grey tonal cowl is knitted in Orkney Angora St Magnus DK, shades London Dark Evening and Ghost.

Blue tonal cowl is knitted in Drops Nord, shades Deep Ocean Mix and Fog.

Yellow and blue cowl is knitted in Drops Karisma, shades Petrol and Dark Mustard.

All samples used 1x 50g ball of yarn in each colour, making this the perfect project for using up odd balls from stash. Extra yarn would be required to knit larger sizes.
