From Stitch ‘N Bitch Nation:

The idea for this pattern came to me while packing for a trip last spring.  I travel a lot and was thinking that if one piece of clothing could have multiple uses, it would cut down on the number of things I’ve have to take in my suitcase.  Then I remembered the "modular clothing" of the mid-’80s: simple tubes, rectangles, and squares and combined in an infinite number of ways.  A shirt could be a skirt or be scrunched up into a belt.  Here’s my take on that concept--a multifunctional piece of clothing that can go from boob tube to miniskirt.  On a cool evening, it can be a shoulder warmer.  On a hot day, you can wear it as a skirt.
