What am I missing?
Totem Mittens
The Totem Mittens is a quick project, mostly knit in the round, ideal for aran or chunky yarn. This pattern use a simple seed stitch softened with a sinuos cable, one i-cord buttonhole and an optional crochet edge to adorn shape. These mitts are designed to fit an average men size, but can be easily adapted at bigger or smaller measure changing the weight of yarn or number of stitches.
I used exactly one skein of Debbie Bliss Chunky Tweed. If you do not work tight, or if you need to fit very large hands, I reccomend to buy a second skein.
Finished measure: 22 cm (8.5”) around palm, 25 cm (10”) in lenght.
You will need:
. 100 grams/100 meters (109 yds) of chunky yarn.
. about 20 yards of worsted/aran weight yarn in contrast (optional)
. 6,5 mm (US 10 ½ ) needle (circular or dpn)
. 5,5 mm (I) crochet hook (optional)
. 2 large buttons (3 cm/1 ¼”)
. cable needle
. tapestry needle
