Did you know that the Eiffel Tower is not painted all the same color? An ombré effect (with three shades of Eiffel Tower Bronze) is needed to make it all look the same because the castiron pieces are much closer together near the top, so they are painted a lighter color to appear the same as the bottom. Choose a jumbo skein of ombré yarn (or three skeins of your favorite fingering yarn) to knit up this lovely half-pi shawl that features scrolling cables at the bottom, just like the Tour Eiffel. Cables are provided in both charted and written formats

  • La Fée Fil Merino Nylon Ombré Fingering (75% Merino, 25% Nylon; 1395 yd/1275 m per 10.5 oz/300 g skein); color: Paris la nuit; 1 skein or approximately 1250 m fingering yarn
  • US4/3.5 mm circular needle, 40-inch/100 cm (or size needed to achieve gauge)—long needle used to accommodate the large number of stitches
  • Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle
