After visiting my daughter in Princeton for the Freshman parents last Fall, walking the trail along the D&R Canal/towpath Trail and also knitting this shawl on the plane to and from NJ, I decided to name this pattern Towpath. :-)

Towpath is a completely reversible shawl that features knit or purl stripes framed by a delicate lace border. The shawl is knitted sideways and finished by a knitted bind off. It is a perfect project for that single skein gradient yarn in your stash. Grab your favorite yarn and have fun knitting.

Finished Size
After blocking, sample shawl measures 175cm (69 inches) long along the top edge and 41cm (16 inches) deep.

Gauge
20 sts x 30 rows of the shawl body pattern after blocking measures 10cm x 10cm. Adjust your needle size to suit your yarn and achieve the size and the look of the shawl of your choice.

Yarn
460.0 yards (420.6 meters) / 100 grams of fingering weight Limited edition merino by Orange Flower Yarn in colorway OOAK 519.26 was used for the sample.
