As with all of my sock designs, this is a cuff-to-toe project. I wrote this pattern in 2002, I wanted to knit a sock with button-stitch (aka nupp st)- was doing samples for Nancy Bush’s Estonian book at the time and really loved the texture created by it. It reminded me of beads, and frequent trips to the Ft. Bridger Mt. Man Rendezvous to purchase antique Trade Beads, which inspired the design for this sock.
