This is more of a recipe and less of a pattern, so you can customize your fit as you go. Add or subtract increase rows to adjust the amount of fullness, and check the length as you stitch to create anything from a capelet to a floor-length, swirling masterpiece!

While this model is all one color to let the dramatic front closures take center stage, you can get a different look altogether by using a contrast color for the decorative welts and the crab stitch edging, or really go to town with some well planned stripes.
