Tunisian crochet in the round interprets classic Fair Isle knitting in this sturdy crocheted bag. The crocheted colorwork pattern in this bag is created with Tunisian simple stitch and reverse Tunisian simple stitch. (Interweave)

Yarn: Paton’s Classic Wool 100% wool; 210 yds. (192m) 3 1/2 oz (100g) 1 skein each of: #77044 mercury (MC), #00240 leaf green (CC1), #77531 currant (CC2), and #00202 aran (CC3)

Hook Size: The 6.00 mm (J) hook should be a Double-Ended Tunisian Hook. The 5.00 mm (H) hook should be a standard crochet hook, used for the edging.

Notions: St markers (m); scrap yarn or st holder; yarn needle.

Gauge: The 14 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in Tunisian Simple Stitch is for the bottom part of the tote. The gauge for the circular portion of the tote is: 15 stitches and 13 rounds worked in pattern = 4 inches.
