A knitted lace insertion and matching edging, worked on 30 stitches to desired length. Both pieces have beading (holes) along the two sides, with repeated motif of a stem with a leaf on one side and an acorn on the other, on a mesh background. In the edging this motif is reversed each time so that the acorn alternates sides. The edging appears scalloped but this may be due to blocking only.
