Transitory Tee features a boxy torso, dropped shoulders, exposed seams and a subtle high low hem for a casual, comfortable fit. Reverse stockinette is knit flat from the bottom up with one or two OPTIONAL intarsia color blocks which become the canvas for embroidering your choice of one of three included charts:

  1. Hopeful Scene - a woman and girl, hand in hand, walk along a path with gray skies and pink blossoms.
  2. Landscape - the same intarsia chart used for the Hopeful Scene can be easily adapted to fit your dreams and desires (for example, remove the people and tree and make the path into a river).
  3. Grayscale Ink Brush Painting

The Tee is “transitory” because the pattern easily transitions to suit your style (the shape and drape of the garment is super cute on its own, even without colorwork). It is “transitory” because it can be layered or worn alone and worn as seasons transition. It is “transitory” because I drew the chart based on a memory from my life in the Himalayas, but I hope the picture can also represent your past, or your present, or your future. It’s “transitory” because you’ll wear it a lot and as you transition from place to place. It’s “transitory” because I wear it a lot and as I transition my life from country to country. Whatever it’s called, I hope you enjoy it, and enjoy this season of your life.
