Transverse is a rectangle shaped shawl worked in two colors, each in a different direction. Thanks to a ridge pattern and its seamless construction, this shawl is fully reversible.
Directions are written for fingering weight yarn, but the shawl can easily be knit with any yarn and any yardage.
Percentage of yardage required for each section is provided. Because of the construction and yardage given, the shawl can also be knit with more than 2 colors in order to use half skeins that are left over from other projects.
35 cm/17¾” width, 210 cm/82¾” length
2 skeins Madelinetosh Euro Sock or approx. 800 meters/880 yards fingering weight yarn in C1 for sections 1, 3 and 5; 1 skein Madelinetosh Euro Sock or approx. 400 meters/440 yards fingering weight yarn in C2 for sections 2 and 4
