Tree And Star Sleeve
Sleeve pattern only
This bolt- on Kaleidoscope Tree and Star Sleeve Pattern is an exciting extra addition to the Kaleidoscope jumper pattern which is designed with Tree sleeves only.
This additional sleeve pattern gives you the opportunity to have the same sleeve motifs, as the body of the jumper, or to choose one Tree sleeve and one Tree and Star Sleeve.
The additional work involved in writing, charting and knitting a 2nd designed sleeve chart, has resulted in this vibrant bolt-on pattern, which was requested by many of my followers on Instagram and from my website, so I am really happy to produce it for you.
This Tree and Star sleeve pattern also includes a Sanquhar Alphabet so that you can add your initials and year of make to personalise your sleeves
Yarn: Jamieson & Smith, 2ply Jumper Weight, 4ply/fingering (2ply refers to the ply in the yarn, this wool is a 4ply Woollen Spun thickness) 25g ball approximately 105m/114yds. 100% Pure Shetland Wool
For this sleeve pattern, I list the same colours as the ones that are in the main Kaleidoscope jumper pattern. I sent the test knitter the different colours which you can see in this pattern, but they were just for the test knit only.
Needles: - 1 UK 2:75mm (US2) needles for the cuff and varying lengths of UK 3mm (US3) circular needle for sleeve. Or you can use 3:5mm UK needles to make the sleeve slightly longer and slightly wider. You may need 5 DPN’s needles to knit around the cuffs, if the knitting gets too tight for the circular.
Finished Size: - One size Length of sleeve including cuff is 22 inches. (You can make this longer by adding another band of motifs at the top of the sleeve or by increasing the needle size from 3mm to 3:5mm but my gauge is below.
Gauge: - 34 rows and 32 stitches to 10 cm measured over the motif pattern using UK 3mm needles.

I hope that you enjoyed knitting this sleeve and that you have adapted it where you want to into your Kaleidoscope jumper, so that you have personalised it to your own taste, either with different sleeves or colours.
