When I started knitting, I discovered the charm and genius of a good old fashion hot water bottle! This simple little thing has kept me warm and cozy in car rides and hotels, in bed on a chilly night, and while typing up patterns at the computer. Surely it deserves a pretty wrap!

The green version - (2nd pic, with the big tree), is also included in the pattern. :)

Errata: The truck portion of the chart includes Row 45, which is blank. You can just skip this row and move on to the next!

PATTERN DETAILS
Skill Level: Intermediate
Size: to fit standard hot water bottle
Techniques include: stranded colorwork, chart reading, knitting in the round
Note: this pattern assumes knitter has previous colorwork experience and does not have detailed instructions on stranded colorwork.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Longwood Sport from Cascade Yarns, 1 skein each of MC 4 Red, and CC 46 Cream
Needles: US 4/3.5 mm
Yarn needle
2 st markers

Gauge, blocked:
Moss St: 26 sts & 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm.
St. st colorwork, in the round: 26 sts & 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm.
2x2 ribbing: 40 sts & 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm.

A note about the yarn: Cascade Longwood Sport is machine washable (cold) and dryable (low heat), ideal for an item that may get wet/splashed during use! As well, it comes in several beautiful colors.
