This Christmas-themed colour work mitten is made with non-superwash wool, creating a very warm, cozy accessory coming in two sizes. Because the color work chart is the same for both sizes, I have suggested two different yarns to alter the gauge in order to size up or down the mitten. You may use a worsted weight yarn for the smaller size, and an aran weight to make the larger size. To enhance the theme, you can embroider bobbles on to your finished mitten trees in different colours of fingering weight, nonsuperwash wool, or embroidery thread. I do not provide detailed instructions on embroidery in this pattern but have included helpful tips and links on the last pattern page.

SIZES finished mitten size ranges from 10 by 25 cm (4 by 10 inches) to 10.5 by 26 cm (4.25 by 10.5 inches).

All sizes have been test knitted.

NEEDLES 100 cm/40 inch circular for magic loop or double pointed needles in size needed to get gauge (ie. 5 mm).

NOTIONS stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn, tapestry needle, and scissors.
