Hi!

This is Trellis; a hat knit in the round, from the bottom up, in one piece using 2x2 ribbing for the bottom and lace (ssk and yo) for the main part.

I made this pattern last summer after I fell in love with SMC Boston Sun and Boston Sun Pastell; not only are the colors gorgeous, but the yarn usually comes in 100g skeins, so that’s all you need for the hat.
Besides 5.0 mm (US 8) needles for the ribbing and 9.0 mm (US 13) for the lace part, and a tapestry needle for weaving in.

The blue hat pictures was made with SMC Boston Sun; the blue and purple one was made with a combination of the Schoeller+Stahl and the Lana Grossa option - but those two come in 50g skeins, so pick up one each, or two if you wand to do it with a solid color.

This pattern was written last summer, but due to none of my test knitters responding, I decided to publish it now anyway.

I hope you’ll like my Trellis, have fun and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or anything else.
