Pattern states gauge should be measured with an I/5.5mm hook, this is incorrect, work with hook size to achieve gauge.

Lace socks are one of my favorite ways to show off crochet socks. These socks are worked from the toe up with a fun and energetic lace design. This is a great beginner sock as well, what’s more fun than a fancy tube sock?

These can be worked in any DK weight yarn but I tend to like cotton. Do keep in mind that cotton has little stretch, so proper sizing is important.

Choose a size that is as close to your foot measurement as possible.

If using an acrylic or wool yarn, choose a size that is a touch smaller than your foot circumference, it will stretch to fit.

SIZE S (M, L, XL)

MEASUREMENTS

8 1/4 (8 3/4, 9 1/2, 11 1/4) foot circumference

MATERIALS Any DK weight cotton; Approximately 220-330 yds

US 3.50mm AND 4.0mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

Tapestry Needle GAUGE

Blocked: 20 sc and 20 rows = 4”/10cm with US I/5.50mm crochet hook in single crochet.

Every crocheter’s gauge is different; please check gauge! Exact gauge is not important. However, a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage.
