Trevose is a top down semi-circular shawl with a mixture of relaxing garter stitch and interesting brioche, finished with a simple garter lace border.

It begins with an i-cord cast on, continues with an integrated i-cord edging and has an i-cord bind off for a neat finish

Short rows are used to shape the triangles at the beginning, which are mirrored in the chevron lace border

Some familiarity with basic brioche stitches would be helpful but instructions on the techniques used and links to tutorials for the i-cord cast on, short rows and brioche increases and decreases are provided in the pattern

The pattern contains instructions for both a two colour and a three colour version. You should pick colours with good contrast for the best effect

The two colour sample used Malabrigo Mechita in the following colour ways and approximate amounts:

Colour A. Whales Road – (82g) 316m/344y
Colour B. Frank Ochre – (52g) 200m/218y

The three colour version used the following yarns and approximate amounts:

Colour A. Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply – Tweed Imps – (68g) 248m/271y
Colour B. Colinette Jitterbug: Lobster Pinch – (56g) 148m/162y
Colour C. MadelineTosh Tosh Sock: Turquoise – (38g) 137m/150y

Collintte Jitterbug is no longer available but has a very similar texture to both the Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply and the MadelineTosh Tosh Sock

Please note that the brioche section is written only.
