I haven’t mentioned finishing techniques in the pattern because it’s not that important in a patch blanket, but how I put it together is by leaving a long tail of yarn at the point and using that to stitch another triangle to the side. If you knit them and stitch them as you go then you don’t have a big sew up job at the end.

It might be possible to stitch the patches into a ball or star-like shape. I haven’t tried it yet.
