Triangular Scarf with Eyelet Rows by Wendy Moody

Triangular Scarf with Eyelet Rows

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

This scarf / shawl came about after I knit a couple of Baktus scarves. I loved the long slim triangle shape but what if you only have one skein of yarn, or multiple partial skeins? Trying to work out the mid point becomes tricky.

With this in mind I set about trying to create the same shape but in such a way that when the yarn ran out the scarf would be complete. This is the result, worked from the bottom centre point up towards the widest part. The eyelet rows are purely for decoration; they do not contribute towards the increasing.

Yarn required:
Anything goes, if using DK then at least 200metres (220ish yards) or more.

Needle required:
A long circular needle in the size required for the yarn being used.

Update on 18th November 2011 - I saw that one member had found an error in row 5 of the pattern. There should be another yarn over before the last two stitches. I have amended the pattern and sent out an update and apologise for the hash up.
