This pattern is a great stashbuster for using up odds and ends, leftovers, or rich, intense or contrasting colors. Pattern design looks complicated, but it is merely bands of differing colors and stitch motifs --enhanced by strong color contrasts. Self-striping yarns also work well for this if you just want to make it easy!
Instructions are written and charted for the bands of stitches used in these cowls. You can mix and match, or add your own!
Cowls are worked with sock yarn (7-8 sts/inch) but pattern will accommodate others as well. Pattern is given for one size which fits most, but instructions are given for size adjustments.
