Tribord is a nautical term, meaning ‘starboard’ in French. Inspiration for this design came from coastal landscapes on the Isle of Wight, where sand, sea and sky merge in beautiful natural hues.

Please note that yardage may vary if other yarn is used, and it may also vary according to how different people knit.
Although the samples are knitted in 3 colours, this top can also be knitted in 2 or 4 colours, or even in one colour, since the textured rows add interest to the design.

If you wish to knit the top and bottom bands in different colours, the yardage for each separate band is as follows:
Bottom band: 204 (216, 269, 300, 280)m approx. 222 (236, 294, 328, 306)yds approx.
Top band: 204 (216, 269, 312, 372)m approx. 222 (236, 294, 341, 407)yds approx.

GAUGE
25 stitches and 30 rows = 10cm (4”) in stocking stitch after washing

Tribord is an easy-level pattern for a loose-fitting top designed for linen yarn, or similar yarn with drape.
It is knitted bottom up in the round up to the sleeves. The back and front are then knitted separately and the shoulder shaping is formed by short rows. The shoulder seams are closed with a three needle bind-off. There are no seams to sew.
