Triceratops is the name of two species of horned dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period, at the end of the age of dinosaurs. Details from modern research are included in this pattern: a line of quills runs up the trike’s back for defense, the frill is a contrasting color so Triceratops can display to other dinosaurs, and each foot has the correct number of toes. Most importantly, this trike is cute, cuddly, and perfectly sized for hugging and play.

Triceratops is worked in the round, not with joined rows. Gauge is not important for this project. With suggested yarn and hook, your dinosaur will be approximately 12 and a half inches from nose to tail and 7 inches tall from floor to tip of frill. Changing yarn weight or hook size will change the size of your dinosaur. Just make sure your tension is tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through!

Includes a version of the pattern with progress photos for reference and a printer-friendly version with only text.
