This cute little blanket offers a lot of possibillities for customzing and personalisation. Keep it plain for a little boy or turn it into a more frilly affair for a little princess. Go stripy. Go color blocks. Stop halfway through and end up with a cozy shawl.

Yardages
It all depends on the size you are aiming for and can be pretty much figured out as you go.

The boy blanket version uses cotton-blend worsted weight yarns from different brands. The yardage varies between 120 and 130 meters per 50 grams. The slight differences in yardage don‘t really matter since the yarns are fairly similar in characteristics. It‘s a good project to use up those one or two left-over skeins as long as the yardage mostly matches up.
 Calculate some extra yarn if you wish to add a crochet border.

• Color 1: about 200 meters
• Color 2: about 200 meters
• Color 3: 375 to 400 meters

Pink triangular shawl in two different colors:

• Fuchsia: 575 meters
• Berry: 350 meters Would need equal amounts of yarn if done in two solid triangles.
