This free slouchy hat pattern utilizes trinity stitches in two different ways, offset on the band and stacked in the body of the hat for a great textured look.

The Trinity Slouch is worked bottom up and cinched at the top, which makes it ideal for those who don’t like to work hats in traditional rounds.

NOTES
• This hat is made bottom up, by creating the band first, then working up. Top of hat is cinched to finish and 2 rounds of sc are added to the bottom edge to finish.
• Make sure to pay attention to the stitches used. The outside sts of the band are dc, the inside sts are hdc. This is to compensate for the use of clusters in the band, which are naturally higher than single stitches.
• In the body of the hat the 3dc clusters will be stacked on top of each other. Each cluster will be placed in the 2nd st of the previous 3dc cluster.
