Modern Daily Knitting Field Guide No. 17: Lopi is like a trip to Iceland, without the hassle of a flight.

These mittens are knit to a firm gauge, and apart from a touch of color at the cuffs, they are plain, sturdy stockinette, all the way to the pointy tips.

Over time, the points will meld into the curvature of the wearer’s fingertips, and the mitts will almost felt onto the hands for dense, toasty warmth.
